§16§Fundamentals of Medical Parasitology begins with an introduction of the parasites, Classification of parasites, vectors and host, focusing on the types of parasites. Protozoans are then covered, first with a series of chapters presenting in detail about the protozoan parasites and then with chapters detailing the major helminthes of humans. Each section covers the habitat, host, Life cycle, pathogenicity and clinical manifestations of the parasites. The final section of the book is dealt with the diagnosis of protozoan and helminthic infection in humans.
