§16§Burn and wound care has developed significantly over the last 70 years but most rapidly at times of conflict and war. Significant advances in the quality of burn care were seen in the Second World War. To achieve the best outcomes for burn patients, the medical research clearly indicates that dedicated, well-equipped burn facilities are necessary, with a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team to improve patients quality of life .Therefore, we need to look at health issues related specifically to burn and wound care.
