Vice, Sin, and Sociability in Early Modern Philosophy investigates ideas of human wickedness and its social and political implications. The book charts early modern discussions stemming from the Augustinian conception of original sin and earlier virtue theories, and shows the complex and innovative reception of traditional ideas.
