Emergency Power Systems at Nuclear Power Plants (IAEA Safety Standards Series)

The safety objective, and basic and detailed requirements for the fulfillment of its safety function, are presented for the various types of emergency power systems. AC, DC, non-interruptible AC, standby diesel generators and non-electric systems such as steam turbines for individual pumps and instrument air, and the necessary distribution systems are dealt with. Some guidance is also given for the main and auxiliary outside grid connections.
